Edmond Cheung,David V. Stark,Song Huang,Kate H. R. Rubin,Lihwai Lin,Christy Tremonti,Kai Zhang,Renbin Yan,Dmitry Bizyaev,Dmitry Bizyaev,Médéric Boquien,Joel R. Brownstein,Niv Drory,Joseph D. Gelfand,Joseph D. Gelfand,Johan H. Knapen,Johan H. Knapen,Roberto Maiolino,Olena Malanushenko,Karen L. Masters,Michael R. Merrifield,Zach Pace,Kaike Pan,Rogemar A. Riffel,Alexandre Roman-Lopes,Wiphu Rujopakarn,Wiphu Rujopakarn,Donald P. Schneider,John P. Stott,Daniel Thomas,Anne-Marie Weijmans +30 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a large, asymmetric H alpha complex with no optical counterpart was revealed, which extends approximately three times the effective radius of the host galaxy and displays a tail-like morphology.

Astronomical Software Wants To Be Free: A Manifesto
Benjamin J. Weiner,Michael R. Blanton,Alison L. Coil,Michael C. Cooper,Romeel Davé,David W. Hogg,Bradford P. Holden,Patrik Jonsson,Susan A. Kassin,Jennifer M. Lotz,John Moustakas,Jeffrey A. Newman,Jason X. Prochaska,Peter Teuben,Christy Tremonti,Christopher N. A. Willmer +15 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors advocate that the astronomical community consider software as an integral and fundable part of facility construction and science programs, and that software release be considered as integral to the open and reproducible scientific process as are publication and data release.

A LYMAN-α-ONLY AGN FROM THE SLOAN DIGITAL SKY SURVEY
Patrick B. Hall,Erik A. Hoversten,Christy Tremonti,Daniel E. Vanden Berk,Donald P. Schneider,Michael A. Strauss,Gillian R. Knapp,Donald G. York,Paul Newman,J. Snedden +21 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a radio-loud active galactic nucleus (AGN) with a luminous, variable, low-polarization UV continuum, H I two-photon emission, and a moderately broad Lyα line (FWHM≃1430 km s −1 ) was discovered.

SDSS-IV MaNGA: Evidence for Enriched Accretion onto Satellite Galaxies in Dense Environments
Adam L. Schaefer,Christy Tremonti,Zachary J. Pace,Francesco Belfiore,Maria Argudo-Fernández,Matthew A. Bershady,Niv Drory,Amy Jones,Roberto Maiolino,David V. Stark,David Wake,Renbin Yan +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the environmental dependence of the local gas-phase metallicity in a sample of star-forming galaxies from the MaNGA survey and find that galaxies with stellar masses in the range $9 10^{10.5} \, \mathrm{M_{\odot}}$) centrals are more metal rich than satellites of low-mass centers, controlling for local stellar mass surface density and gas fraction.
