Synthesis of multifunctional multiferroic materials from metalorganics
TL;DR: In this article, two major deposition techniques are discussed: (i) metalorganic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD), and (ii) chemical solution deposition (CSD), which are versatile and economical for deposition of the mentioned structures.
SoftLab—a virtual laboratory for computational science
Christoph M. Hoffman,Elias N. Houstis,John R. Rice,Ann Christine Catlin,Margaret Gaitatzes,Sanjiva Weerawarana,N.-H. Linda Wang,Christos G. Takoudis,David G. Taylor +8 more
TL;DR: The SoftLab project attempts to link physical laboratory experimentation with computer control and simulation to provide a virtual laboratory for computational science.
Collagen membrane functionalized with magnesium oxide via room-temperature atomic layer deposition promotes osteopromotive and antimicrobial properties
Soumya Saha,Raphael Cavalcante Costa,Mirela Caroline Silva,João Matheus Fonseca-Santos,Lin Chen,Abhijit H. Phakatkar,Harshdeep Bhatia,Leonardo Perez Faverani,Valentim Adelino Ricardo Barão,Tolou Shokuhfar,Cortino Sukotjo,Christos G. Takoudis +11 more
TL;DR: In vivo studies performed on calvaria rats showed MgO-coated membranes elicit a higher inflammatory response, leading to an increase in angiogenesis and a greater bone formation, mainly for Col-MgO500, compared to uncoated collagen.
