Classical-Nova Contribution to the Milky Way’s Al 26 Abundance: Exit Channel of the Key Al 25 ( p , γ ) Si 26 Resonance
M. B. Bennett,Christopher Wrede,Christopher Wrede,Kelly Chipps,Jordi José,Sean Liddick,M. Santia,A. Bowe,A. Bowe,A. Chen,N. Cooper,D. Irvine,E. McNeice,Fernando Montes,Fernando Montes,F. Naqvi,R. Ortez,R. Ortez,Steven D. Pain,J. Pereira,J. Pereira,Christopher Prokop,J. Quaglia,J. Quaglia,S. J. Quinn,S. J. Quinn,S. B. Schwartz,S. B. Schwartz,S. Shanab,Anna Simon,Anna Simon,A. Spyrou,A. Spyrou,E. Thiagalingam +33 more
TL;DR: Hydrodynamic nova simulations are used to model 26Al production showing that these measurements effectively eliminate the dominant experimental nuclear-physics uncertainty and it is estimated that novae may contribute up to 30% of the Galactic 26Al.

Split Isobaric Analog State in Ni 55 : Case of Strong Isospin Mixing
Vandana Tripathi,S. L. Tabor,Alexander Volya,Sean Liddick,P. C. Bender,N. Larson,Christopher Prokop,S. Suchyta,P.-L. Tai,J. M. VonMoss +9 more
TL;DR: Study of β+ decay of the exotic Tz=-3/2 nucleus 55Cu, via delayed γ rays, has revealed a strongly isospin mixed doublet in 55Ni, which represents the fragmented and previously unknown isobaric analog of the ground state of 55Cu.

Walsh,T.S. Watson,L. Yao,Walid Younes +48 more
TL;DR: In this article, the angular anisotropy of fission fragments was measured with a fission time projection chamber (fissionTPC) to study the fission process.

Lewis,Shea Mosby,Stylianos Nikas,Christopher Prokop,Christopher Prokop,Simon J. Quinn,Therese Renstrøm,B. Rubio +26 more
- 26 Jan 2017
TL;DR: In this article, the authors discuss new experimental approaches to indirectly provide information on neutron-capture rates relevant to the $r$-process, focusing on applications of the Oslo method to extract fundamental nuclear properties for reaction-rate calculations.
High efficiency beta-decay spectroscopy using a planar germanium double-sided strip detector
N. Larson,Sean Liddick,M. B. Bennett,A. Bowe,Alexander T. Chemey,Christopher Prokop,Anna Simon,A. Spyrou,S. Suchyta,S. J. Quinn,S. L. Tabor,P.-L. Tai,Vandana Tripathi,J. M. VonMoss +13 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a planar double-sided strip detector (DSSD) was used for beta-decay spectroscopy experiments at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL).
