Long-term greenhouse gas emission and petroleum reduction goals: Evolutionary pathways for the light-duty vehicle sector
TL;DR: In this paper, a wedge-based approach was used to quantify the scope of the problem in real terms, and to develop options for meeting mid-century targets, including improvements in near-term vehicle technologies, emphasis on low-carbon biofuels, de-carbonization of the electric grid, and demand-side travel-reduction initiatives.

- 18 Nov 2014
TL;DR: An indicator-based vulnerability screening approach is presented and practical steps for data collection, scoring and weighting, and validation of results are discussed, which leverages existing information on climate and assets to save time and cost and relies on metrics that can be applied as part of benchmarking, performance measurement and evaluation, risk assessment, asset management, and prioritization strategies.
