Visceral artery aneurysms: Incidence, management, and outcome analysis in a tertiary care center over one decade
Michael B. Pitton,Evelyn Dappa,Florian Jungmann,Roman Kloeckner,Sebastian Schotten,Gesine M. Wirth,Jens Mittler,Hauke Lang,Peter Mildenberger,Karl-Friedrich Kreitner,Katja Oberholzer,Christoph Dueber +11 more
TL;DR: Pseudoaneurysms of visceral arteries have a high risk for rupture and aneurysm size seems to be no reliable predictor for rupture, and interventional treatment is safe and effective for management of VAA.
Conventional transarterial chemoembolization versus drug-eluting bead transarterial chemoembolization for the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma
Roman Kloeckner,Arndt Weinmann,Friederike Prinz,Daniel Pinto dos Santos,Christian Ruckes,Christoph Dueber,Michael B. Pitton +6 more
TL;DR: The present study showed no significant difference in overall survival between cTACE and DEB-TACE in patients with HCC, however, the significantly lower number of treatments needed in the DEB -TACE group makes it a more appealing treatment option than cTace for appropriately selected patients with unresectable HCC.
MDCT Versus MRI Assessment of Tumor Response After Transarterial Chemoembolization for the Treatment of Hepatocellular Carcinoma
Roman Kloeckner,Gerd Otto,Stefan Biesterfeld,Katja Oberholzer,Christoph Dueber,Michael B. Pitton +5 more
TL;DR: MRI is superior to MDCT for detection of viable tumor residuals after Lipiodol-based TACE, and is mandatory for reliable decision-making during follow-up after Lipodol- based TACE protocols.

Transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts : Adjunctive embolotherapy of gastroesophageal collateral vessels in the prevention of variceal rebleeding
TL;DR: It is suggested that TIPS and adjunctive embolotherapy of gastroesophageal collateral vessels significantly lower the rebleeding rate in comparison to TIPS alone.

MDCT assessment of airway wall thickness in COPD patients using a new method: correlations with pulmonary function tests
T. Achenbach,Oliver Weinheimer,Alexander Biedermann,Sabine Schmitt,Daniela Freudenstein,Edula Goutham,Richard Peter Kunz,Roland Buhl,Christoph Dueber,Claus Peter Heussel +9 more
TL;DR: The wall thickness was significantly higher in smokers than in non-smokers and in COPD patients, and the wall thickness measured as a mean for a given patient correlated with the values of FEV1 andFEV1% predicted.
