Body mass index trajectories preceding first report of poor self-rated health: a longitudinal case-control analysis of the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing
TL;DR: Development of BMI was associated with poor self-rated health; however, the nature of the association depended markedly on age, which suggests future prospective studies and clinical decision making should take into account the age-dependent association between development of body mass index preceding poor Self-rated Health.
Genetic variability of the fatty acid synthase pathway is not associated with prostate cancer risk in the European Prospective Investigation on Cancer (EPIC)

Substitution of unprocessed and processed red meat with poultry or fish and total and cause-specific mortality.
Tine Bjerg Nielsen,Anne Mette Lund Würtz,Christina C. Dahm,Kim Overvad,Kim Overvad,Anne Tjønneland +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigated associations for substitutions of red meat (unprocessed/processed) and total mortality and deaths due to cancer or CVD, using the Danish Diet, Cancer and Health cohort, including 57 053 participants aged 50-64 years at baseline.

TL;DR: In this paper, the circulating concentration of pyridoxal 5'-phosphate (PLP) is a commonly used measure of Vitamin B6 insufficiency, which has been linked to increased risk of cancer and other chronic diseases.
