Construction of Highly Active Metal-Containing Nanoparticles and FeCo-N4 Composite Sites for the Acidic Oxygen Reduction Reaction.
Shuhu Yin,Jian Yang,Yu Han,Gen Li,Li-Yang Wan,You-Hu Chen,Chi Chen,Xi-Ming Qu,Yan-Xia Jiang,Shi-Gang Sun +9 more
TL;DR: Light is shed on the highly active M-NPs and FeN4 composite sites for catalyzing acid oxygen reduction reaction, and the relevant reaction mechanism is suggested.

Utilizing the Built-in Electric Field of p-n Junctions to Spatially Propel the Stepwise Polysulfide Conversion in Lithium-Sulfur Batteries.
TL;DR: In this paper, a hierarchical and defect-rich Co3 O4 /TiO2 p-n junctions are fabricated to implement the sequential catalysis of S8(solid) ǫ→ Li2 S4(liquid) )→ Li 2 Sǫ (solid), while TiO2 dots realize the effective precipitation of Li2 sǫ, bridged by the directional migration of polysulfides from p-type Co3 o4 to n-type TiO 2 attributed to the interfacial built-in electric field.

Nano-geometric deformation and synergistic Co nanoparticles—Co-N4 composite sites for proton exchange membrane fuel cells
Xiaoyang Cheng,Jian Yang,Wei Yan,Yu Han,Xi-Ming Qu,Shuhu Yin,Chi Chen,Ruiyi Ji,Yanrong Li,Guang Li,Gen Li,Yan-Xia Jiang,Shi-Gang Sun +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a concave nanocube-like catalyst was proposed to improve the oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) activity of the CoSA-N-C catalyst, which was first built to involve the deformed CoN4 site and enhance mesoporosity.

Smart hyaluronidase-actived theranostic micelles for dual-modal imaging guided photodynamic therapy.
Wenjun Li,Cuifang Zheng,Zhengyin Pan,Chi Chen,Dehong Hu,Guanhui Gao,Shendong Kang,Haodong Cui,Ping Gong,Lintao Cai +9 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that the well-defined HACE NPs is a biocompatible theranostic nanoplatform for in vivo dual-modal tumor imaging and phototherapy simultaneously.

Resonance energy transfer to gold nanoparticles: NSET defeats FRET
Chi Chen,Niko Hildebrandt +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, the differences between Forster resonance energy transfer and nanosurface energy transfer (NSET) are discussed, and an overview of the literature concerning the assignment of FRET or NSET to AuNP-based luminescence quenching is given.
