PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer storage device for which seal performance is stabilized, and a process cartridge.SOLUTION: A toner storage device 43a for storing toner includes: a frame body 43a provided with a hole 45; a rotatable drive shaft 20a passing through the hole 45; and a seal member 10 for sealing an annular gap between an inner peripheral surface of the hole 45 and an outer peripheral surface of the drive shaft 20a. The seal member 10 has a projection part 10a to be slid in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the drive shaft 20a, and is integrally molded with the frame body 43a.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for electrophotographic toner giving images with stable developing property and no degradation of picture quality due to development stripes even when a great number of sheets are continuously printed in a high temperature and high humidity environment. SOLUTION: The container for an electrophotographic toner stores the toner, wherein a thermoplastic elastomer is used as a toner sealing member. In the molecular weight distribution chart of the molecular weight of the thermoplastic elastomer in terms of a tetrahydrofuran soluble content fraction measured by gel permeation chromatography, an area ratio of a component having a molecular weight of 800 or less to the whole ranges from 0.05% to 30.00%. The toner contains toner particles and an inorganic fine powder. When methanol concentrations (%) during 50% transmittance by methanol wettability tests after the toner particles are left to stand in environments of 20°C and 40°C for 5 hours, are defined as D20 and D40, respectively, relationships of 10.0≤D20≤40.0 and 0≤D40-D20≤2.0 are satisfied. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the toner sealing property of a boundary part between a blade sealing member and an end-sealing member, while achieving reduction in cost and further improvement in assembling property of a developing blade lower seal. SOLUTION: The developing device frame unit comprises: the end-sealing members 95a and 95b which are provided on both longitudinal ends of a developing device frame 71; a blade sealing member 94 for sealing between a regulating member and the developing device frame 71 to prevent leak of developer, wherein the blade sealing member 94 is an elastomer resin material which is injection-molded with a metal mold and which is provided in a seal forming portion 71d of the developing device frame 71 where the end-sealing members 95a and 95b are provided, the blade sealing member connecting both of the end-sealing members 95a and 95b with each other; and a protrusion 94a provided by a squeezed-out portion of the resin material by injecting, into a space defined by the metal mold, the seal forming portion 71d, and both of the end seal members 95a and 95b, a resin material volume larger than a volume of the space. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for separating a photoreceptor drum and a developing roller in conjunction with an operation for attaching a process cartridge to an image forming apparatus, without damaging the important parts of the process cartridge.SOLUTION: An apparatus body 101 includes an insertion port 17 for preventing the passage of a process cartridge 70 in such a state that an image carrier 1 and a developer carrier 25 are separated from each other, but for allowing the passage of the process cartridge 70 in such a state that the image carrier 1 and the developer carrier 25 are in contact with each other and guides 15 and 16 for guiding one of a first frame body 20 and a second frame body 18, when the process cartridge 70 is inserted into the insertion port 17. An image forming apparatus 100 includes a separation mechanism for separating the image carrier 1 and the developer carrier 25 by further inserting the process cartridge 70 in such a state that the other of the first frame body 20 and the second frame body 18 passes through the insertion port 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
