Antiviral effect of lithium chloride on infection of cells by canine parvovirus
TL;DR: Results indicated that lithium chloride could be a potential antiviral drug for curing dogs with canine parvovirus infection and its antiviral effect in vivo should be explored in future studies.
The regulation of cell homeostasis and antiviral innate immunity by autophagy during classical swine fever virus infection
Xiaowen Li,Yiwan Song,Xinyan Wang,Cheng Fu,Feifan Zhao,L. Zou,Keke Wu,Wenxian Chen,Zhao-Yao Li,Jindai Fan,Yuwan Li,Bingke Li,S. Zeng,Xiaodi Liu,Mingqiu Zhao,Lin Yi,Jinding Chen,Shuangqi Fan +17 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors used transcriptomics and metabolomics methods to find that CSFV infection alters innate host immunity by activating the interferon pathway, inhibiting host inflammation, apoptosis, and remodelling host metabolism in porcine alveolar macrophages.

Comparative pathogenesis of H3N2 canine influenza virus in beagle dogs challenged by intranasal and intratracheal inoculation.
Jie Luo,Gang Lu,Shaotang Ye,Jiajun Ou,Cheng Fu,Xin Zhang,Xiangbin Wang,Ji Huang,Peixin Wu,Haibin Xu,Liyan Wu,Shoujun Li +11 more
TL;DR: Intratracheal inoculation was more virulent to dogs than intranasal inoculations as shown by lung pathology score, histopathological changes, clinical symptoms, and body temperature, which may enhance the H3N2 CIV infection model and serve a reference role for CIV prevention and treatment.

Role of CARD Region of MDA5 Gene in Canine Influenza Virus Infection
TL;DR: A novel mechanism by which MDA5 mediated CIV infection was revealed and provided new avenues for the development of antiviral strategies.

Seroprevalence of hepatitis E virus infection among dogs in several developed cities in the Guangdong province of China.
Lifang Wang,Yun Zheng,Cheng Fu,San Huang,Malin Hong,Zhongshan Yan,Kun Jia,Pei Zhou,Shoujun Li +8 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that HEV is prevalent in dogs in the Guangdong province of China and diet habit might become a vital element of infecting HEV for dogs and play an important role in living environment.
