Neurotoxicity and behavioral effects of thiram in rats
Cheng-Chun Lee,Paul J. Peters +1 more
TL;DR: Thiram caused hyperactivity in the nonataxic rats of both sexes and the peripheral nerve as the primary site of the lesion, and caused behavioral changes in apparently normal rats.

Operationalizing resilience practices in transportation infrastructure planning and project development
Amir Esmalian,Faxi Yuan,Akhil Anil Rajput,Hamid Farahmand,Shangjia Dong,Qingchun Li,Xinyu Gao,Chao Fan,Cheng-Chun Lee,Chia-Wei Hsu,Flavia Patrascu,Ali Mostafavi +11 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors examine practices for incorporating resilience by transportation agencies and suggest the need for innovative and practical methods, processes, and information for resilience integration in transportation planning and project development.

Energy Inequality in Climate Hazards: Empirical Evidence of Social and Spatial Disparities in Managed and Hazard-Induced Power Outages
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors quantified the period of recovery at a granular spatial scale using an equitable-focused analysis to detect social and spatial inequalities through an exploratory lens and highlighted the importance of integrating equity into the manner in which utility managers and emergency planners restore power outages.
Large‐scale building damage assessment using a novel hierarchical transformer architecture on satellite images
TL;DR: In this article , a novel transformer-based network is proposed for assessing building damage, which leverages hierarchical spatial features of multiple resolutions and captures the temporal differences in the feature domain after applying a transformer encoder on the spatial features, achieving state-of-the-art performance on a large-scale disaster damage dataset (xBD) for building localization and damage classification, as well as on LEVIR-CD dataset for change detection tasks.
Specifying evacuation return and home-switch stability during short-term disaster recovery using location-based data
TL;DR: In this article , the authors examined evacuation and home move-out rates in Harris County, Texas in the context of the 2017 Hurricane Harvey and revealed the areas with short and long return durations and enable evaluating disparities in evacuation return and home-switch stability patterns.
