Sox9 potentiates BMP2-induced chondrogenic differentiation and inhibits BMP2-induced osteogenic differentiation.
Junyi Liao,Ning Hu,Nian Zhou,Liangbo Lin,Chen Zhao,Shixiong Yi,Tingxu Fan,Wei Bao,Xi Liang,Hong Chen,Wei Xu,Cheng Chen,Qiang Cheng,Yongming Zeng,Wei-Ke Si,Zhong Yang,Wei Huang +16 more
TL;DR: Exogenous overexpression of Sox9 in BMP2-induced mesenchymal stem cells differentiation may be a new strategy for cartilage tissue engineering as this study strongly suggests that Sox9 potentiates BMP 2-induced MSCs chondrogenic differentiation and cartilage formation, and inhibits BMP1-inducedMSCs osteogenic differentiation and endochondral ossification.
Levofloxacin loaded mesoporous silica microspheres/nano-hydroxyapatite/polyurethane composite scaffold for the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis with bone defects.
Qi Wang,Cheng Chen,Wen Liu,Xiaoqiang He,Nian Zhou,Dongli Zhang,Hongchen Gu,Jidong Li,Jiaxing Jiang,Wei Huang +9 more
TL;DR: A novel mesoporous silica microspheres/nano-hydroxyapatite/polyurethane composite scaffolds loaded with 5 mg levofloxacin was much better at treating bone defects than the other groups and may provide a solution for the treatment of chronic osteomyelitis.
Application of thrombelastography (TEG) for safety evaluation of tranexamic acid in primary total joint arthroplasty
Xiang-Dong Wu,Xiang-Dong Wu,Yu Chen,Mian Tian,Yao He,Yu-Zhang Tao,Wei Xu,Qiang Cheng,Cheng Chen,Wei Liu,Wei Huang +10 more
TL;DR: Patients who received multiple-dose of TXA had consistent statistically significant shortened R times on post-operative day 1 (POD1) and POD3 in both THA and TKA, but this prothrombotic state does not provoke thrombosis when combined with appropriate anticoagulant therapy.
The natural product salicin alleviates osteoarthritis progression by binding to IRE1α and inhibiting endoplasmic reticulum stress through the IRE1α-IκBα-p65 signaling pathway
Zhenglin Zhu,Shengqiang Gao,Cheng Chen,Wei Xu,Peng-Cheng Xiao,Zhiyu Chen,C. Du,Bowen Chen,Yanzhi Gao,Chunli Wang,Junyi Liao,Wei Huang +11 more
TL;DR: In this article , the effects and mechanisms of the small molecular drug salicin (SA) on osteoarthritis (OA) progression were investigated in a rat OA model and the effect of intra-articular injection of SA on OA progression was evaluated using RNA sequencing, molecular docking and target stability analyses.
Hesperetin Exhibits Anti-Inflammatory Effects on Chondrocytes via the AMPK Pathway to Attenuate Anterior Cruciate Ligament Transection-Induced Osteoarthritis.
TL;DR: In this paper, the impact of HPT on osteoarthritis (OA) induced by anterior cruciate ligament transection (ACLT) was investigated in rat chondrocytes.
