Polydopamine-Coated Antheraea pernyi (A. pernyi) Silk Fibroin Films Promote Cell Adhesion and Wound Healing in Skin Tissue Repair
TL;DR: In vivo testing confirmed that wound covered with the PAF film was completely healed with the formation of the new skin and hair within 14 days post trauma, and indicates that AF films coated with PDA are promising wound dressings for skin tissue repair.

Polydopamine modification of silk fibroin membranes significantly promotes their wound healing effect.
TL;DR: It was found that PDA coating enabled the PESF membranes to outperform the ESF membranes in enhancing the hydrophilicity and protein adsorption ability of the membranes as well as the attachment, spreading and proliferation of fibroblasts on the membranes in vitro.

- 22 Sep 2017
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for synthesizing silk fibroin nano-spheres was proposed, which includes the steps: adding isopropanol solution into SF solution with the concentration of 0.1-1wt% drop by drop, continuously performing stirring reaction for 30 minutes; freezing the solution for 12 hours; performing room-temperature remelting to obtain milk white suspension liquid; centrifuging the milk white silk fibroidin suspension liquid by 8000rpm; abandoning supernatant and then performing re-suspended precipitation, ultrasonic treatment and freeze-d

Arginine induces protein self-assembly into nanofibers for triggering osteogenic differentiation of stem cells.
Fang Lei,Zhou Guanshan,Chen Yuping,Jiangfeng Cai,Jie Wang,Yajun Shuai,Zongpu Xu,Zhangfu Wang,Chuanbin Mao,Chuanbin Mao,Mingying Yang +10 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper used arginine to reduce the negative charge of the sericin protein, which induced the protein to self-assemble into nanofibers in the solution.
