Improvement of mannitol production by Lactobacillus brevis mutant 3-A5 based on dual-stage pH control and fed-batch fermentations.
Min Yue,Min Yue,Hailong Cao,Jianping Zhang,Jianping Zhang,Shuguang Li,Yanyu Meng,Yanyu Meng,Chen Wei,Huang Lishuxin,Huang Lishuxin,Yuguang Du +11 more
TL;DR: The dual-stage pH control fed-batch fermentation strategy was further developed to improve mannitol yield, wherein the yield increased by 109 % to 215 g/L after 98 h of fermentation, which is the highest yield ever reported using L. brevis.

Method for producing fructooligosaccharid and high fructose syrup by using immobilized enzyme
Xuefang Bai,Hailong Cao,Shouyan Chen,Chen Wei,Yvguang Du,Shuguang Li,Zhongyi Yuan,Jingmei Zhao +7 more
- 25 Mar 2009
TL;DR: In this paper, a method for producing fructooligosaccharid and high fructose syrup by using an immobilized enzyme is presented. But the method comprises the following steps of: immobilizing inulase by using a three-step method of oxidation-immobilization-reduction; and producing the fructoolsigosacscharid by utilizing the immobilized enzymes.

Preparation process of chitin oligose
Du Yuguang,Liu Qishun,Zhao Xiaoming,Zhao Jingmei,Chen Wei,Bai Xuefang +5 more
- 27 Mar 2013
TL;DR: In this paper, a preparation process of chitin oligosaccharide is described, which comprises the following steps: adding an acetylation reagent in the chitosan oligo-charide solution with the concentration of 0.1%-50%, and reacting for 1 minute to 48 hours at the temperature of 0 DEG C to 100 DEGC to obtain the chITin oligose after the amino is acetylized selectively.

Antioxidant and application thereof
Yuguang Du,Chen Wei,Liu Qishun,Peng Qiang,Meng Yanyu,Tuo Yaqin +5 more
- 25 Jun 2014
TL;DR: The chlorella polysaccharides can significantly improve plant cell antioxidase (SOD, POD and CAT) (superoxide dismutase, peroxidase and catalase) and in-vitro hydroxyl free radical clearance rate, reducing power, DPPH (1,1-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl radical) clearance rate and other activity, and can be used as a plant growth regulator and natural food additive as mentioned in this paper.
