Expression of phosphorylcholine by Histophilus somni induces bovine platelet aggregation.
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the interaction between H. somni and bovine platelets and determine if bacterial expression of ChoP affects platelet activation, and found that ChoP+H. sni, but not its LOS, could induce irreversible aggregation within 5 min.

PECAM-1 is involved in neutrophil transmigration across Histophilus somni treated bovine brain endothelial cells.
TL;DR: Findings suggest that PECAM-1 and eNOS may play a role in the early pathogenesis of TME.

Extracellular Calcium and Magnesium, but Not Iron, Are Needed for Optimal Growth of Blastomyces dermatitidis Yeast Form Cells In Vitro
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that the yeast form of Blastomyces dermatitidis can proliferate for short periods of time in the absence of ferric iron but not in the presence of calcium or magnesium.

The effect of canine macrophages on the adherence and growth of Blastomyces dermatitidis yeast: evidence of a soluble factor that enhances the growth of B. dermatitidis yeast.
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that canine complement enhances the adherence of B. dermatitidis yeast to canine macrophages and this observation suggests that a soluble factor is involved in the growth enhancement of the yeast.

Effects of administration of anti-CD4 and anti-CD8 monoclonal antibodies on Mycobacterium paratuberculosis infection in intragastrically challenged mice
TL;DR: Depletion of CD4+ or CD8+ cells did not enhance fecal shedding of M. paratuberculosis, bacillary multiplication in the liver and ceca, nor histopathologic damage to the intestinal tract, mesenteric lymph nodes, spleen and liver, according to this study.
