Phyllosphere epiphytic and endophytic fungal community and network structures differ in a tropical mangrove ecosystem
TL;DR: The role of host plant identity in driving phyllosphere epiphytic and endophytic community structure is demonstrated, and plant identity has a greater effect on theendophytic fungi than on epipHYtic fungi.
Specific network and phylosymbiosis pattern in endophyte community of coastal halophytes
TL;DR: Investigation of endophyte assemblages along the eastern coastline of China showed that host is the dominant factor shaping the fungal endophytic communities in aerial tissues of halophytes in high salinity environments, and the host influence onendophytic community relates to plant phylogeny.

Host identity is more important in structuring bacterial epiphytes than endophytes in a tropical mangrove forest.
TL;DR: Examination of phyllosphere epiphytic and endophytic bacterial communities of six mangrove species using Illumina MiSeq sequencing of the 16S rRNA gene reveals that the phyllospheric community structures differ and plant identity has a greater effect on the epip hytic than on the endophytes, which may provide a comprehensive insight into the role of plant identity.
