Preparation of Carbon-Encapsulated ZnO Tetrahedron as an Anode Material for Ultralong Cycle Life Performance Lithium-ion Batteries
TL;DR: In this article, a 3D carbon framework is proposed to encapsulate tetrahedron ZnO nanocrystals that serve as an anode material for lithium-ion batteries.

Shape Evolution of Highly Crystalline Anatase TiO2 Nanobipyramids
TL;DR: In this paper, the influence of halogens ions such as fluorine, chloride, and bromine on the morphology of TiO2 nanocrystals was investigated and it was shown that the rate of crystal growth could be promoted by fluorine and that the selective absorption of fluorine onto the surface of nanoparticles would alter the relative surface free energies of {001} and {101}, eventually controlling the ration of the facets to total surface area.

One-dimension TiO2 nanostructures: oriented attachment and application in dye-sensitized solar cell
TL;DR: In this paper, a two-step solvothermal method is reported to synthesize TiO2 nanochains with one-dimensional single-crystalline nature, which is formed by oriented attachment and with tunable length.

TiO2/C composites nanorods synthesized by internal-reflux method for lithium-ion battery anode materials
TL;DR: Anatase TiO 2 /C composites nanorods were prepared via a simple internal-reflux approach underatmospheric pressure and subsequent carbonization as discussed by the authors.

- 27 Jun 2012
TL;DR: In this article, a photo-reduction method of a Ag/TiO2 nano heterogenous junction by virtue of induction is presented, which comprises the following steps of: 1) dispersing 0.1-0.5ml of oleic acid, oil amine or 1-octadecene as surfactant into 50ml of chloroform, stirring to be uniform, so as to obtain TiO 2 nano crystal dispersion, then transferring mixed solution into a three-opening flask, degassing for 20-60min with argon, sealing
