Characterization of calcareous deposits in artificial seawater by impedance techniques: 3—Deposit of CaCO3 in the presence of Mg(II)
Ch. Barchiche,Claude Deslouis,D. Festy,O. Gil,Ph. Refait,Sébastien Touzain,Bernard Tribollet +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the deposition kinetics were analyzed by chronoamperometry measurements and the calcareous layers were characterized by electrochemical and electrohydrodynamical impedance spectroscopies, scanning electron microscopy observations and X-ray diffraction analyses.

Role of sulphate ions on the formation of calcareous deposits on steel in artificial seawater; the formation of Green Rust compounds during cathodic protection
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of sulphate ions on the kinetics and mechanisms of formation of calcareous deposits forming on the steel surface was studied, and it was demonstrated that sulphate ion had an important effect on the formation of both Ca (II)- and Mg(II)-containing phases.

Corrosion of carbon steel in sodium methanoate solutions
TL;DR: In this paper, the behavior of steel electrodes in sodium methanoate solutions was studied by coupling electrochemical techniques (voltammetry, OCP vs. time) with in situ micro-Raman spectroscopy analyses of the corrosion products.

Effet de différentes substances organiques sur les processus de corrosion des aciers
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated the role of sulfato-reductrices in the formation of a couche de rouille in the processus de corrosion, and showed that these substances are responsible for a partie des effets observed in a milieu de culture bacterien.
