TL;DR: In this paper, Lactobacillus bulgaricus strain isolated from yogurt was given as a probiotic to rats subjected to radiotherapy, and the results suggest that probiotics may have a protective effect on intestinal mucosa.

TL;DR: The results of this study suggest that probiotics may have a protective effect on intestinal mucosa and can be given by an oral or enteral route to patients who undergo radiotherapy to prevent radiation-induced enteritis and related malnutrition.

TL;DR: In this article , the authors used histopathology reports of 6785 removed appendices to confirm the uncommon cause of acute appendicitis in a single tertiary institution and found that age was significantly higher in uncommon acute appendectomies than in ordinary appendectoms.
