Expert Consensus on Optimal Acquisition and Development of the International Bowel Ultrasound Segmental Activity Score [IBUS-SAS]: A Reliability and Inter-rater Variability Study on Intestinal Ultrasonography in Crohn's Disease.
Kerri L. Novak,Kim Nylund,Christian Maaser,Frauke Petersen,Torsten Kucharzik,Cathy Lu,Mariangela Allocca,Giovanni Maconi,Floris de Voogd,Britt Christensen,Rose Vaughan,Carolina Palmela,Dan Carter,Rune Wilkens,Rune Wilkens +14 more
TL;DR: Using expert consensus and standardised approaches, identification of key activity measurements on IUS has been achieved and a segmental activity score has been proposed, demonstrating excellent reliability.

Ultrasound Shear Wave Elastography and Contrast Enhancement: Effective Biomarkers in Crohn's Disease Strictures
TL;DR: A novel relation of high SWE with muscle hypertrophy, and inverse relationship with CEUS peak enhancement is reported; providing differentiation between active and chronic bowel wall inflammation to improve selection between medical therapy and surgery.

Bowel Ultrasound State of the Art: Grayscale and Doppler Ultrasound, Contrast Enhancement, and Elastography in Crohn Disease
TL;DR: An approach to evaluating inflammatory bowel disease is described and its features on standard grayscale US with Doppler imaging are reviewed and how contrast‐enhanced US and shear wave elastography can distinguish between inflammatory and fibrostenotic bowel are shown.

A reliability study - strong inter-observer agreement of an expert panel for intestinal ultrasound in ulcerative colitis
Floris de Voogd,Rune Wilkens,Krisztina B Gecse,Mariangela Allocca,Kerri L. Novak,Cathy Lu,Geert R. D'Haens,Christian Maaser +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the reliability of IUS in the diagnosis and monitoring of ulcerative colitis was evaluated among expert sonographists in order to identify robust parameters such as bowel wall thickness, colour Doppler signal, inflammatory fat, loss of bowel wall stratification, and presence of lymph nodes.
