Aspects Concerning Progressive Collapse of a Reinforced Concrete Frame Structure with Infill Walls
Marin Lupoae,Catalin Baciu,Daniel Constantin,H. Puscau +3 more
- 01 Jul 2011
TL;DR: In this article, the authors propose modern approaches, nonlinear static and dynamic analysis procedures based on the Applied Element Method, to assess a progressive collapse problem of a RC frame structure with infill walls.
Numerical Analysis of RC Column Failure Due to Blast and Collapse Scenarios for an Irregular RC-Framed Structure
TL;DR: The results show that the collapse resistance of an asymmetric RC-framed structure, designed according to the prescriptions from the current Romanian seismic design code, is able to resist the loads occurring in the scenarios in which one or two columns are considered as failed.

New Approach to Nonlinear Dynamic Analysis of Reinforced Concrete 3D Frames; An Accurate and Computational Efficient Mathematical Model
TL;DR: In this paper , the concept of the force analogy method for 3D structures is integrated into an accurate computational efficient algorithmic routine for nonlinear dynamic analysis of reinforced concrete frames and a unique straightforward mathematical model for the numerical implementation of degrading cyclic behavior of structural elements is proposed and further used to simulate the response of a 10 story reinforced concrete frame structure.
Experimental and Numerical Studies of the Progressive Collapse of a Reinforced Concrete-Framed Structure Using Capacity Curves
TL;DR: In this paper, the potential of the progressive collapse of a reinforced concrete frame of a seven-storey building was evaluated by comparing the capacity curve and the M-N diagram of the beams.

Nonlinear analysis for a reinforced concrete frame structure under extreme loads
Catalin Baciu,Marin Lupoae +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors presented the results of a thorough analysis of a frame structure under explosive loads, using both classical (pushover) and modern (applied element) techniques.
