A composition comprising a silicone having a viscosity modifying agent dissolved or dispersed therein and a deposition aid, wherein the deposition aid comprises a polymeric material comprising one or more moieties for enhancing affinity for a fabric, especially cotton or a cotton-containing fabric and one or more silicone moieties.

Laundry treatment compositions

A fabric conditioning composition comprising a cationic fabric softening compound dispersed in water is found to have surprisingly improved viscosity stability if a stabilising system comprising at least one salt of a multivalent inorganic anion or non-sequestering multivalent organic anion is present. The invention is particularly suitable for use with quaternary ammonium material comprising a compound having two C12-18 alkyl or alkenyl groups connected to the molecule via at least one ester link. Preferably, the mixture comprises sodium chloride and sodium sulphate. Preferably, there is additionally at least one salt of a univalent anion.

Fabric conditioning compositions

The present invention relates to surfacing material which may emit radiation in response to exposure to a given light source. Such surfacing material may be polymeric based, and e.g., fiber based, and may be used in relatively low-light areas, including low-light areas as applied to vehicular applications. The fiber-based or molded materials may emit radiation in response to exposure to a selected light source and may be used in relatively dimly lit areas. The materials may also provide a visible contrast to other objects located adjacent their surface which do not emit radiation. Optical brighteners and luminous particles may be included in the materials to make them luminous.

Luminous interior trim material

Stable, aqueous cleaner/degreaser emulsion compositions are formulated with at least one sparingly soluble organic solvent having specified compositional characteristics, a solubilizing additive and water. The solubilizing additive may consist of from approximately 0.1 to approximately 100 weight percent of a surfactant and from 0 to approximately 99.9 weight percent of a coupler and is present in an amount insufficient to solubilize all of the total organic solvent content but sufficient to emulsify the unsolubilized portion of the total organic solvent content. The emulsion compositions so formulated provide enhanced degreasing efficacies.

Aqueous cleaner/degreaser emulsion compositions

An image is printed on a medium by means of a computer-driven printer (6) using an ink composition comprising heat-activated dye solids, without activating the dye solids during the process of printing onto the medium. The image is transferred from the medium to the object (8) on which the image is to permanently appear by applying heat and pressure to the medium to activate the dye and transfer the image to the object (8). The liquid form of the ink composition uses a liquid carrier and an emulsifying enforcing agent which has an affinity for the dye. The emulsifying enforcing agent shields the heat-activated dye both prior to, and during, the printing process.

The invention relates to a stable composition for treating textile substrates which contains at least (a) an organic solvent which is sparingly soluble to insoluble in water and in which component (b) is dissolved and component (c) is dissolved or dispersed, (b) a vehicle for component (c) which is sparingly soluble to insoluble in water, and (c) a finishing agent which is sparingly soluble to insolube in water and which is soluble or dispersible in the vehicle (b). In addition to components (a), (b) and (c), the composition of the invention may also contain (d) a solid carboxylic acid which is sparingly soluble in water, and preferably soluble in the solvent (a), and/or (e) a polar organic solvent as well as further additives or assistants. The novel composition, which preferably contains fluorescent whitening agents as finishing agents, is used in particular for whitening manmade textiles, especially made-up goods such as curtains or underwear.

Stable composition for treating textile substrates

New aqueous, stable, highly concentrated, finely dispersed, flowable dyestuff preparations having a low content of dispersing agents and a high content of dyestuff insoluble to difficultly soluble in water are described, which dyestuffs have a particle size smaller than 10 μ, particularly smaller than 2 μ, the said preparations being characterised in that they contain at least 10 percent by weight of water, at least 30 percent by weight of a finely dispersed dyestuff, especially a disperse or vat dyestuff, and a mixture consisting of at most 10 percent by weight of an anionactive dispersing agent, at most 5 percent by weight of a nonionic dispersing agent and at most 35 percent by weight of a hydrotropic agent as well as, optionally, further additives. The said dyestuff preparations are especially useful for the preparation of printing pastes having an aqueous base or a water-in-oil emulsion base, which themselves can be used preferably for the printing of carrier materials, particularly paper, suitable for transfer printing.

Aqueous dyestuff preparations of dyestuffs insoluble to difficultly soluble in water

Transfer printing process on textile material is described with the use of a printing ink having an organic-aqueous base, which printing ink contains, in addition to at least one binding agent, at least one organic solvent and, optionally, water, an aqueous preparation of transferable dyestuffs or optical brighteners that are insoluble to difficultly soluble in water and have a particle size of less than 10μ, which preparation has a low content of dispersing agent and a high concentration of dyestuff or of optical brightener, characterized in that this preparation contains at least 10 percent by weight of water, at least 30 percent by weight of a finely dispersed transferable dyestuff or optical brightener insoluble to difficultly soluble in water, and a mixture consisting of at most 10 percent by weight of an anion-active dispersing agent, at most 5 percent by weight of a nonionic dispersing agent, and at most 35 percent by weight of a hydrotropic agent, as well as, optionally, further additives.

Transfer printing on textile material

The invention provides aqueous dyestuff preparations of water-insoluble or sparingly water-soluble dyes which may be used for preparing printing pastes to be used for printing textile material as well as for printing supports for transfer printing. The preparations contain at least 10% by weight of water, 10 to 60% by weight of a finely dispersed water-insoluble or sparingly water-soluble dye, 0.1 to 5% by weight of at least one anionic dispersant, and 0.5 to 5% by weight of a non-ionic copolymer of ethylene oxide and a further olefin oxide, said copolymer having an ethylene oxide content of at least 65% by weight and a molecular weight of more than 12,000, and also, if desired, further ingredients.

Stable aqueous dyestuff preparations of finely dispersed water-insoluble or sparingly water-soluble dyes

Object of the present invention are novel printing inks with organic solvents for sublimation transfer printing which contain a high concentration of very finely dispersed, transferable cationic dyes, and specifically; A. at least one cationic dye or a mixture of cationic dyes, B. at least one soluble resin as stabilizer, film former and thickener, C. a low-viscosity, low molecular organic solvent or solvent mixture in which the cationic dye or dyes are only slightly soluble at room temperature and the resin or resins are at least 5% soluble, D. an inorganic or organic acid acceptor or mixtures thereof, and E. at least one indicator dye which is inert to inorganic or organic acid acceptors.
