TL;DR: It was shown that in orthognathic patients 1) AS was associated with relapse regardless of dentofacial deformity or surgical procedure performed and 2) AS can appear after treatment in patients who were initially free of it.

TL;DR: An acoustic analysis of regressive voicing assimilation among patients after PL and to study the relationship with rates of speech highlights the presence of RVA in healthy subjects, but also in PL patients in the rapid speaking mode.
