C Sripada,Mike Angstadt,Sarah J. Banks,Pradeep J. Nathan,Israel Liberzon,K. Luan Phan,K. Luan Phan +6 more
TL;DR: Functional magnetic resonance imaging and a multiround economic exchange game are coupled to probe mentalizing, the social-cognitive ability to attribute mental states to others, and those with human partners elicited less activation of medial prefrontal cortex in generalized social anxiety patients compared with matched healthy control participants.

TL;DR: In the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) study as discussed by the authors, the authors report activation patterns from functional MRI (fMRI) tasks completed at baseline, which were designed to measure cognitive impulse control with a stop signal task (SST; N = 5,547), reward anticipation and receipt with a monetary incentive delay (MID) task (N = 6,657), and working memory and emotion reactivity with an emotional N-back (EN-back) task.

TL;DR: A computational model of anticipated response inhibition is proposed that takes account of this distortion of time perception and it is shown that this model produces valid estimates of not only SSRT, but also another key process that determines inhibitory ability, lapses in attention.
Leveraging big data for classification of children who stutter from fluent peers
TL;DR: This is the first study to demonstrate that big data-derived brain features can help differentiate children who stutter from their fluent peers and provide novel information on brain networks relevant to stuttering pathophysiology.
