Impact of formulation and operating parameters on particle size and grinding media wear in wet media milling of organic compounds – A case study for pyrene
Frederik Flach,Christoph Konnerth,C. Peppersack,Jochen Schmidt,Cornelia Damm,Sandra Breitung-Faes,Wolfgang Peukert,Arno Kwade +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the influence of process and formulation parameters on fine grinding of the crystalline organic model compound pyrene was investigated and the product formulation with an ionic surfactant and a nonionic polymer was identified as a significant parameter to reduce the grinding wear.

Nanoengineering of Egyptian Blue Nanosheets: Advantages and Limitations for Near-Infrared Photoluminescence Applications
Yiyu Cai,Wentao Peng,Qingyuan Song,Denis Pluta,C. Peppersack,Sandra Breitung-Faes,Arno Kwade,Nadja C. Bigall,Philipp Vana +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors present a protocol for the quick mass production of Egyptian Blue (CaCuSi4O10) nanosheets (EBNSs) with lateral size down to ∼100 nm by applying state-of-the-art ball-milling techniques.

Top-Down Formulation of Goethite Nanosuspensions for the Production of Transparent, Inorganic Glass Coatings
TL;DR: In this article , a simple but effective process route for the production of transparent coatings on glass substrates from inorganic pigment goethite was presented, which already showed a significant increase in transparency.
