Magnetohydrodynamic Viscous Flow Separation in a Channel With Constrictions
TL;DR: In this paper, the flow of an electrically conducting fluid in a channel with constrictions in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field is analyzed and a solution technique for governing magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) equations in primitive variable formulation is developed.

Effect of constriction height on flow separation in a two-dimensional channel
G. C. Layek,C. Midya +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the constriction height on viscous flow separation past a two-dimensional channel with locally symmetric constrictions was studied numerically, and a numerically stable scheme in primitive variables (velocity and pressure) for the solution of time-dependent Navier-Stokes equations was employed using finite-difference approximation in staggered grid.

Influences of suction and blowing on vortex shedding behind a square cylinder in a channel
G. C. Layek,C. Midya,A.S. Gupta +2 more
TL;DR: In this article, a pressure-based finite-difference technique has been used to solve the unsteady Navier-Stokes equations and the structure of confined wakes behind a square cylinder in a channel subject to a locally uniform suction or blowing at both the channel walls is presented.
