Multispectral Optoacoustic Tomography for Assessment of Crohn's Disease Activity.
Ferdinand Knieling,Clemens Neufert,Arndt Hartmann,Jing Claussen,Alexander Urich,C. Egger,Marcel Vetter,Sarah Fischer,Lukas Pfeifer,Alexander F. Hagel,Christian Kielisch,RS Görtz,Dane Wildner,Matthias Engel,Jens Röther,Wolfgang Uter,Jürgen Siebler,Raja Atreya,Wolfgang Rascher,Deike Strobel,Markus F. Neurath,Maximilian J. Waldner +21 more
TL;DR: A preliminary study suggests that intestinal-wall assessment by means of noninvasive multispectral optoacoustic tomography may distinguish remission from active disease in patients with Crohn’s disease.

Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound (DCE-US) for Easy and Rapid Evaluation of Hepatocellular Carcinoma Compared to Dynamic Contrast-Enhanced Computed Tomography (DCE-CT) – A Pilot Study
C. Egger,Ruediger S. Goertz,Deike Strobel,Michael Lell,Markus F. Neurath,Ferdinand Knieling,M. Scharf +6 more
TL;DR: The quantitative evaluation of D CE-US was feasible in HCC without a statistical difference with respect to DCE-CT and there was no statistical difference between CEUS, DCE, US and DCE -CT in the quantitative assessment of contrast enhancement.

Impact of food intake, ultrasound transducer, breathing maneuvers and body position on acoustic radiation force impulse (ARFI) elastometry of the liver.
TL;DR: Hepatic ARFI elastometry is a well evaluated method but a standardized examination should include measuring in a supine position with the convex transducer without specific breathing maneuvers, and heart dysfunction may impair ARFI accuracy.
Multispectral Optoacoustic Tomography in Crohn’s Disease: Noninvasive Imaging of Disease Activity
