Characterization of poly(pyrroles) by cyclic voltammetry
TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that poly(pyrroles) doped with various small mobile anions (exemplified by tetrafluoroborate, BF4−) gave broad reduction waves at facile potentials, whereas poly(polypyrrole) with several larger and less-mobile anions, such as p-toluenesulfonate, PTS, gave strikingly sharp reduction wave at markedly more cathodic potentials.

TL;DR: In this article, the use of conducting polypyrrole as a free-standing film or as coatings on platinum electrodes was found to produce a change in the product mixtures for electrooxidations of phenylacetate and p-chlorophenylacetates anions and a change of kinetics in the electroreduction of TCNQ compared to bare platinum electrodes.
