Ion beam analysis, corrosion resistance and nanomechanical properties of TiAlCN/CNx multilayer grown by reactive magnetron sputtering
TL;DR: In this article, a novel TiAlCN/CNx multilayer coating was designed to enhance the corrosion resistance of CoCrMo biomedical alloy, which was deposited by dc and RF reactive magnetron sputtering from Ti0.5Al 0.5 and C targets respectively in a N2/Ar plasma.
The effect of C content on the mechanical properties of Ti-Zr coatings.
M.G. Rodríguez-Hernández,O. Jimenez,F. Alvarado-Hernández,M. Flores,E. Andrade,C.E. Canto,C. Ávila,F. Espinoza-Beltrán +7 more
TL;DR: The overall properties of these coatings were improved due to C content increment, martensitic α' phase and nanocrystalline grain size (10-16 nm), and a high elastic recovery ratio was observed as a function of composition.

Visible and near infra-red luminescent emission from Y2O3:Er3+ films co-doped with Li+ and their elemental composition by ion beam analysis
A.N. Meza-Rocha,C.E. Canto,E. Andrade,O.G. de Lucio,E.F. Huerta,Federico Palacios González,M.F. Rocha,Ciro Falcony +7 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the enhancement of the luminescence emission of Y2O3:Er3+ films with the incorporation of Li+ is reported for both visible and IR characteristic emissions of Er3+ ions in the yttrium oxide matrix.

Adhesive and tribocorrosive behavior of TiAlPtN/TiAlN/TiAl multilayers sputtered coatings over CoCrMo
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used Simulated Body Fluid (SBF) at typical body temperature with a tribometer in a pin on disk test to evaluate the tribocorrosion resistance and adherence of multilayer coatings of TiAlPtN/TiAlN/ TiAl synthesized by PVD reactive magnetron sputtering over a CoCrMo alloy substrate in 10 periods of 30min each.

The (28)Si(d,α) reaction
V Araujo-Escalona,L Acosta,E. Andrade,L. Barrón-Palos,C.E. Canto,F. Favela,A Huerta,M E Ortiz,Corina Solís,E Chávez +9 more
- 01 Aug 2016
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focus on the case of 26Al, isotope associated with the identification of active nucleosynthesis spots in the cosmos, and describe in detail the experimental protocol developed to quantify the number of deuterons hitting the target, as a first step to determine the total cross section.
