TL;DR: Etanercept is able to downregulate the expression of the recently recognized markers of Th17 cells and their precursors CD161, RORγt and CCR6, while acitretin is not, and this activity on the Th17 lineage may contribute to the efficacy of etanercept in the treatment of psoriasis.

Case study: fibrosing alopecia in a pattern distribution localized on alopecia androgenetica areas and unaffected scalp.
TL;DR: A 54-year-old man with a 24-year history of androgenetic alopecia was referred to the Department of Dermatological Sciences with follicular inflammatory lesions leading to scleroatrophy in the vertex region of 1-year duration, and was diagnosed with fibrosing alopECia in a pattern distribution.
