Hypofrontality in men with first-episode psychosis.
Vicente Molina,J. Sanz,Santiago Reig,R. Martinez,Fernando Sarramea,Rogelio Luque,C. Benito,Juan Domingo Gispert,Javier Pascau,Manuel Desco +9 more
TL;DR: The results suggest that hypofrontality could be a marker of schizophrenia at the time of the first psychotic episode, in agreement with neurodevelopmental theories of schizophrenia.
P300 amplitude as a possible correlate of frontal degeneration in schizophrenia.
Manuel Martín-Loeches,Vicente José Rives Molina,Francisco Muñoz,José A. Hinojosa,Santiago Reig,Manuel Desco,C. Benito,Javier Sanz,Ainhoa Gabiri,Fernando Sarramea,Andres Santos,Tomás Palomo +11 more
TL;DR: The hypothesis that P300 amplitude may be interpreted as a marker of neurodegeneration in schizophrenia is supported, by assessing its correlation with volume of sulcal CSF and duration of illness, as transversal indicators of neuro degeneration.

Changes in cortical volume with olanzapine in chronic schizophrenia.
Vicente Molina,Santiago Reig,J. Sanz,Tomás Palomo,C. Benito,J. Sanchez,Javier Pascau,Manuel Desco +7 more
TL;DR: The data suggest that the profile of action of olanzapine on the cortical volume of chronically ill patients may be similar to that of typical antipsychotics.

A Multimodality Workstation In Practice
Manuel Desco,Jesús Sánchez López,C. Benito,Andres Santos,P. Domínguez,Santiago Reig,Celso Arango,PG Barreno,Gregorio Marañón +8 more
- 01 Jan 1999
TL;DR: A workstation for multimodality analysis has been under clinical test for two years in a big hospital in Madrid and was found quite useful in some clinical situations, mainly temporal epilepsy, neurosurgery planning, brain tumours and schizophrenia.

Abstract: We present a measurement of the ratio of the ¯ B 0 s meson lifetime, in the flavor-specific decay to D þ s π − , to that of the ¯ B 0 meson. The pp collision data used correspond to an integrated luminosity of 1 fb − 1 , collected with the LHCb detector, at a center-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. Combining our measured value of 1 . 010 (cid:2) 0 . 010 (cid:2) 0 . 008 for this ratio with the known ¯ B 0 lifetime, we determine the flavor-specific ¯ B 0 s lifetime to be τ ð ¯ B 0 s Þ ¼ 1 . 535 (cid:2) 0 . 015 (cid:2) 0 . 014 ps, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively. This is the most precise measurement to date, and is consistent with previous measurements and theoretical predictions.
