Dopaminergic Regulation of Nucleus Accumbens Cholinergic Interneurons Demarcates Susceptibility to Cocaine Addiction.
Joo Han Lee,Efrain Ribeiro,Jeongseop Kim,Bumjin Ko,Hope Kronman,Yun Ha Jeong,Jong Kyoung Kim,Patricia H. Janak,Eric J. Nestler,Ja Wook Koo,Joung Hun Kim +10 more
TL;DR: These findings provide a molecular mechanism for dopaminergic control of NAc ChINs that can control the susceptibility to cocaine-seeking behavior.

Npas4-mediated dopaminergic regulation of fear memory states
Bumjin Ko,Jong-Yeon Yoo,Woochul Choi,Rümeysa Doğan,Ki-Bong Sung,Sangjun Lee,Dahun Um,Su Been Lee,Taesik Yoo,Hyun-Jin Kim,Seung Tae Beak,Sang Ki Park,Sejin Paik,Tae Kyung Kim,Joung Hun Kim +14 more
TL;DR: The cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating the functional states of neural engrams, which can be switched or maintained, supporting discriminative memory are demonstrated.
Npas4-mediated dopaminergic regulation of safety memory consolidation.
Bumjin Ko,Jong-Yeon Yoo,Taesik Yoo,Woochul Choi,Rümeysa Doğan,Ki-Bong Sung,Dahun Um,Su Been Lee,Hyun-Jin Kim,Sangjun Lee,Seung Tae Beak,Sang Ki Park,Sejin Paik,Tae Kyung Kim,Joung Hun Kim +14 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors show cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate the non-threatening memory consolidation, supporting the fear discrimination, and show that the fear expression toward unpaired conditioned stimuli (CS-) is robust immediately after fear conditioning but then becomes negligible after memory consolidation.
Dopamine Regulation of Amygdala Inhibitory Circuits for Expression of Learned Fear
Oh-Bin Kwon,Joo Han Lee,Hyun-Jin Kim,Seungho Lee,Sang-Hyeon Lee,Min-Jae Jeong,Su-Jeong Kim,Hee-Jung Jo,Bumjin Ko,Sunghoe Chang,Sang Ki Park,Yun-Beom Choi,Craig H. Bailey,Eric R. Kandel,Eric R. Kandel,Joung Hun Kim +15 more
TL;DR: It is demonstrated that LTD was impaired at the dorsal ITC of PTSD model mice, which suggests that maladaptation of GABAergic signaling and the resultant LTD impairment contribute to the endophenotypes of PTSD.
