Every zircon deserves a date: selection bias in detrital geochronology
TL;DR: In this article, the authors show statistically significant differences in age distributions between bulk-mounted and hand-picked fractions from an unconsolidated heavy mineral sand deposit, indicating inadvertent preferential visual selection of euhedral and coloured zircon grains.
40Ar/39Ar geochronology of terrestrial pyroxene
Bryant Ware,Fred Jourdan +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, pyroxene crystals from two different Large Igneous Provinces were analyzed using a multi-collector noble gas mass spectrometer (ARGUS VI) since those machines have been shown to significantly improve analytical precision compared to the previous single collector instruments.

Intrusive and depositional constraints on the Cretaceous tectonic history of the southern Blue Mountains, eastern Oregon
Richard M. Gaschnig,A.S. Macho,Annia K. Fayon,Mark D. Schmitz,Bryant Ware,Jeffrey D. Vervoort,Paul R. Kelso,Todd A. LaMaskin,Maureen Kahn,Basil Tikoff +9 more
TL;DR: In this article, an integrated study of the postcollisional (post-late Jurassic) history of the Blue Mountains province (Oregon and Idaho, USA) using constraints from Cretaceous igneous and sedimentary rocks is presented.
Extensional episodes in the Paleoproterozoic Capricorn Orogen, Western Australia, revealed by petrogenesis and geochronology of mafic–ultramafic rocks
Hugo K.H. Olierook,Stephen Sheppard,Simon P. Johnson,Sandra Occhipinti,Steven M. Reddy,Chris D. Clark,Ian R. Fletcher,Birger Rasmussen,Jian-Wei Zi,Franco Pirajno,Crystal LaFlamme,Tram Do,Bryant Ware,Edward Blandthorn,Mark Lindsay,Yongjun Lu,Yongjun Lu,Rosalind J. Crossley,Timmons M. Erickson +18 more
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used geochemical and geochronological constraints of a suite of preserved mafic-ultramafic rocks in the Paleoproterozoic Capricorn Orogen of Western Australia to reveal ophiolites, continental ribbons and aborted rifts.

AusGeochem: An Open Platform for Geochemical Data Preservation, Dissemination and Synthesis
Samuel C. Boone,Hayden Dalton,A. Prent,Fabian Kohlmann,Moritz Theile,Yoann Gréau,Guillaume Florin,Wayne Noble,Sally-Ann Hodgekiss,Bryant Ware,David Phillips,Barry P. Kohn,Suzanne Y. O'Reilly,Andrew J.W. Gleadow,Brent I.A. McInnes,Timothy J Rawling +15 more
TL;DR: The AusGeochem platform as discussed by the authors is an open, cloud-based data repository and a data analysis tool for geochemical data, which can be used to preserve, disseminate and collate geochronology and isotopic data.
