Cloning of the human IL-13Rα1 chain and reconstitution with the IL-4Rα of a functional IL-4/IL-13 receptor complex
Brigitte Miloux,Patrick Laurent,Odile Bonnin,Jan H. Lupker,Daniel Caput,Natalio Vita,Pascual Ferrara +6 more
TL;DR: The human homologue of the recently cloned murine IL‐13 binding protein (IL‐13Rα1) was cloned from a cDNA library derived from the carcinoma cell line CAKI‐1, and co‐expression of the cloned cDNA with that of IL‐4Rα resulted in a receptor complex that displayed high affinity for IL‐ 13, and that allowed cross‐competition of IL•13 and IL‐ 4.

Molecular cloning of the MCP-3 chemokine gene and regulation of its expression.
A Minty,Pascale Chalon,Jean-Claude Guillemot,Mourad Kaghad,P. Liauzun,Magazin M,Brigitte Miloux,C. Minty,P. Ramond,Natalio Vita +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a cDNA (NC28) transcribed from a mRNA which is transiently induced in U937 promonocytic cells by PMA and super-induced by cycloheximide.

Experimental gene therapy of cancer using tumor cells engineered to secrete interleukin-13.
Sophie Lebel-Binay,Brigitte Laguerre,Françoise Quintin-Colonna,Hélène Conjeaud,Marilyn Magazin,Brigitte Miloux,Florence Pecceu,Daniel Caput,Pascual Ferrara,Didier Fradelizi +9 more
TL;DR: Anti‐tumor effects of IL‐13 in vivo most probably result from pleiotropic effects including recruitment of nonspecific cells and improved stimulation of immune‐specific anti‐Tumor effectors.

High-level synthesis of human prolactin in Chinese-Hamster ovary cells.
Carlos R. J. Soares,Ligia Morganti,Brigitte Miloux,Jan H. Lupker,Pascual Ferrara,Paolo Bartolini +5 more
TL;DR: This appears to be the first report describing production and purification of recombinant hPRL from CHO cells, secreted at levels higher than reported thus far in eukaryotic systems.
