Associations of three major physiological stress systems with suicidal ideation and suicide attempts in patients with a depressive and/or anxiety disorder
Jasper X.M. Wiebenga,Henriette D. Heering,Merijn Eikelenboom,Albert M. van Hemert,Patricia van Oppen,Brenda W.J.H. Penninx +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the relationship between individual markers and cumulative indices of the HPA-axis (cortisol awakening response and evening cortisol), immune-inflammatory system (C-reactive protein, interleukin-6 (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-α), and the ANS (heart rate, respiratory sinus arrhythmia, and pre-ejection period) and found that high levels of CRP and IL-6 were associated with suicidal ideation.

Delayed sleep-onset and biological age: late sleep-onset is associated with shorter telomere length
Dora Wynchank,Denise Bijlenga,Brenda W.J.H. Penninx,Femke Lamers,Aartjan T.F. Beekman,J. J. Sandra Kooij,Josine E. Verhoeven +6 more
TL;DR: Indicators of delayed circadian rhythm showed a strong and consistent effect on leukocyte telomere length, after adjustment for sociodemographic and health indicators.

TL;DR: The findings of the linkage meta-analysis and those of the GWAS suggest that 11q24 is a susceptible locus for openness, with KCNJ1 as the possible candidate gene.
