TL;DR: In this paper , a highly efficient AuCl3-catalyzed site-selective aromatic C-H halogenation of polystyrene is presented. But the most important feature of this method is that the degree of halogenization can be precisely controlled by simply changing the loading of the halogenating agent, thus allowing the tuning of functional group density in an accurate and predictable manner.

Visible Light‐Promoted Ring‐Opening Alkenylation of Cyclic Hemiacetals through β‐Scission of Alkoxy Radicals
TL;DR: In this article , it was shown that the alkoxy radicals derived from cyclic hemiacetals can be generated through visible-light-induced electron transfer with sodium iodide and triphenylphosphine as the catalyst.

A Method for Calculating Grounding Resistance of Reinforced Concrete Foundation Grounding Systems

TL;DR: In this article , a method for calculating grounding resistance of reinforced concrete foundations is proposed, which equates the complex foundation structure into a cylindrical conductor and then calculates the grounding resistance with the help of the method of moments, which simplifies establishment of the simulation model and reduces the extensive computation.
