Generation of α-Imino Gold Carbenes through Gold-Catalyzed Intermolecular Reaction of Azides with Ynamides
TL;DR: The generation of α-imino gold carbenes via gold-catalyzed intermolecular reaction of azides and ynamides through a mechanistic rationale for this tandem reaction, especially for the observed high regioselectivity, is supported by DFT calculations.

Zinc‐Catalyzed Alkyne Oxidation/C ? H Functionalization: Highly Site‐Selective Synthesis of Versatile Isoquinolones and β‐Carbolines
TL;DR: An efficient zinc(II)-catalyzed alkyne oxidation/C-H functionalization sequence was developed, thus leading to highly site-selective synthesis of a variety of isoquinolones and β-carbolines, and over-oxidation can be completely suppressed in this system.

Highly Site Selective Formal [5+2] and [4+2] Annulations of Isoxazoles with Heterosubstituted Alkynes by Platinum Catalysis: Rapid Access to Functionalized 1,3-Oxazepines and 2,5-Dihydropyridines.
Wen-Bo Shen,Xin-Yu Xiao,Qing Sun,Bo Zhou,Xin-Qi Zhu,Juanzhu Yan,Xin Lu,Long-Wu Ye,Long-Wu Ye +8 more
TL;DR: Platinum-catalyzed formal [5+2] and [4-2] annulations of isoxazoles with heterosubstituted alkynes enabled the atom-economical synthesis of valuable 1,3-oxazepines and 2,5-dihydropyridines, respectively.

Divergent synthesis of N -heterocycles via controllable cyclization of azido-diynes catalyzed by copper and gold
TL;DR: Divergent copper- and gold-catalyzed oxidative cyclizations of diynes to two types of tricyclic N-heterocycles are developed and the proposed mechanistic rationale for these cascade reactions is strongly supported by both control experiments and theoretical calculations.
Stereoselective synthesis of medium lactams enabled by metal-free hydroalkoxylation/stereospecific [1,3]-rearrangement
Bo Zhou,Ying-Qi Zhang,Kairui Zhang,Ming-Yang Yang,Yang-Bo Chen,You Li,Qian Peng,Shou-Fei Zhu,Qi-Lin Zhou,Long-Wu Ye,Long-Wu Ye +10 more
TL;DR: A metal-free intramolecular hydroalkoxylation/[1,3]-rearrangement sequence affording medium-sized lactams with wide scope, also in an asymmetric fashion is described, leading to the practical and atom-economical assembly of various valuable medium- sized lactamsWith wide substrate scope and excellent diastereoselectivity.
