TL;DR: In this article, an intermittent ultrasonic-assisted equal channel angular pressing (IU-ECAP) technique for grain refinement is proposed, which significantly reduced the extrusion force relative to that for ECAP, whereas the microhardness and ultimate tensile strength were strengthened.
