Short‐ and long‐term outcomes of laparoscopic versus open selective lateral pelvic lymph node dissection for locally advanced middle‐low rectal cancer: Results of a multicentre lateral node study in China
TL;DR: Laroscopic LPND is technically safe and feasible with favourable short-term results and similar oncological outcomes as open surgery in selected patients, and LPNM was an independent predictor of survival.

Risk factors for anastomotic leak and postoperative morbidity after right hemicolectomy for colon cancer: results from a prospective, multi-centre, snapshot study in China.
Jiale Gao,Xiaodong Gu,Minghui Pang,Hong Zhang,Yugui Lian,Lei Zhou,Bo Feng,Guiying Wang,Zhicao Zhang,He Huang,Gang Xiao,Fanghai Han,Xinxiang Li,Xiaojun Zhou,Quan Wang,Qian Liu,Haijun Deng,Zhenjun Wang,Wu Song,Zhengqiang Wei,Yong Li,Yong Dai,Moubin Lin,Jianyong Zheng,Bo Tang,Xian-Li He,Hui Wang,Fanlong Liu,Yongxiang Li,Dongbing Zhou,Wei Zhang,Kefeng Ding,Weidong Tong,Guodong He,Changqing Jing,Bin Wu,Tao Wu,Ming Dong,Zhifei Li,Zhanlong Shen,Hongbo Wei,Lianmei Bai,Zhiqian Hu,Shiliang Tu,Jian-Wei Qiu,Xuejun Sun,Ang Li,Zhuang Jing,Su Yan,H. Bonjer,J. Tuynman,Hongwei Yan,Zhongtao Zhang +52 more
TL;DR: In high-volume expert centres in China, laparoscopic resection with D3 lymph node dissection was performed in most patients with right-sided colon cancer, and overall postoperative morbidity and mortality was low.

Effective dissecting range and prognostic significance of lateral pelvic lymph node dissection for middle-low rectal cancer patients with lateral pelvic lymph node metastasis: Results of a large multicenter lateral node collaborative group in China
TL;DR: LPND may be effective in controlling local recurrence in patients with LPN metastasis but not systemic metastases, and their prognoses may be comparable to those at the N2b stage.
7
Risk factors and prognostic significance of postoperative complications following lateral pelvic lymph node dissection for rectal cancer: results of the multicenter lateral node study in China.
TL;DR: A surgical duration of ≥260 min is a significant risk factor for both overall and severe postoperative complications after TME + LPND for middle-low rectal cancer, and the development of overall complications or severe complications that require a postoperative hospital stay >30 days significantly worsens the prognosis.

Pathological and perioperative outcomes of extracorporeal versus intracorporeal anastomosis in laparoscopic transverse colon cancer resection: retrospective multicentre study
H.-D. Zhong,Zhenghao Cai,Junyang Lu,Yingchi Yang,Qing Xu,Nan Wang,Lifang He,Xiyue Hu,Abe Fingerhut,Minhua Zheng,A. Lu,Zheng Liu,Yi-Qin Xiao,Bo Feng +13 more
TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper compared the pathological and perioperative outcomes of extracorporeal versus intracorporeal anastomosis after laparoscopic transverse colon cancer resection.
