Topological Field-Effect Transistor Based on Quasi-Two-Dimensional Tellurium Flakes
Bin Kang Cheng,Lin Li,Nan Zhang,Bing Zhang,Xianglin Li,Zhiyong Lin,Hui Gui Li,Zhengfei Wang,Changgan Zeng +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper , a field effect device based on thin flakes of tellurium, a semiconductor with a chiral Weyl node, was proposed to switch between conducting and topological states electrostatically, yielding giant modulations of both channel conductivity and chiral-anomaly-induced magnetoresistance.

Preparation of a Flexible Reduced Graphene Oxide-Si Composite Film and Its Application in High-Performance Lithium Ion Batteries
Zhao-Jing Chu,Xiangchuan Zhao,Qi Wang,Tianshuang Bao,Hongxiang Li,Yuliang Cao,Bing Zhang,Jun Cao,Weimeng Si +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , a strategy for preparing free-standing reduced graphene oxide@Si nanoparticles (rGO@Si NPs) composite membranes was described, which was subsequently used in a lithium-ion battery.
Swift and XMM-Newton Observations of the Extraordinary GRB 060729: An afterglow with a more than 100 days X-ray light curve
Dirk Grupe,Caryl Gronwall,Xiang-Yu Wang,Peter W. A. Roming,Jay Cummings,Bing Zhang,P. Meszaros,Guido Chincarini,J. P. Osborne,T. Sakamoto,Neil Gehrels +10 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the results of the Swift and XMM observations of the long Gamma-Ray Burst GRB 060729 ($T_{90}$=115s) were reported and the afterglow of this burst was exceptionally bright in X-rays as well as at UV/Optical wavelengths showing an unusually long slow decay phase.

Strongly lensed repeating Fast Radio Bursts precisely probe the universe
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors show that the curvature of the cosmic curvature can be constrained to a precision of 0.056$ in a model-independent way for the case of a lensed fast radio burst (FRB) system.

Enhanced Generalized Regression Neural Network for Soil Moisture Estimation Over the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau
TL;DR: The proposed enhanced generalized regression neural network (EGRNN) weakens the sensitivity to outliers since large differences are weighted more heavily by using Euclidean distance than City block distance and models more local and discriminant information in the pattern layer since only the data points within neighbors are connected by using k-NN.
