Saikosaponin-D Prevents Acute Renal Injury via Inhibition of NLRP3 Inflammasome By SIRT1
Lin Kang,Fan Yang,Xiu-zhi Zhang,Jing Zhao,Yang Liu,Huan-fen Zhao,Zhijuan Hu,Bing Liu,Chunnian He +8 more
TL;DR: Sikosaponin-d (SSD) reduced kidney injury and inflammation, induced SIRT1, and suppressed protein expression on in vivo mice model of acute kidney injury (AKI) and these findings confirm that SSD prevents AKI via inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome by SIRT 1.

Paeonia lactiflora Pall. protects against ANIT-induced cholestasis by activating Nrf2 via PI3K/Akt signaling pathway
Xiao Ma,Yanling Zhao,Yun Zhu,Zhe Chen,Jia-bo Wang,Rui-yu Li,Chang Chen,Shizhang Wei,Jianyu Li,Bing Liu,Ruilin Wang,Yonggang Li,Lifu Wang,Xiaohe Xiao +13 more
TL;DR: PLP enhanced antioxidative system by activating PI3K/Akt/Nrf2 pathway through increasing Akt, Nrf2, HO-1, Nqo1, GCLc, and GCLm expression, and putative targets network validation confirmed the important role of PLP in activating Akt expression.
Probiotic-fermented Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi alleviates alcoholic liver injury by enhancing antioxidant defense and modulating gut microbiota.
TL;DR: Probiotic-fermented Pueraria lobata (Willd.) Ohwi possesses an excellent protective effect in alcoholic liver injury and is beneficial to the development of hepatoprotective nutraceuticals for alcoholics.
A Peptide HEPFYGNEGALR from Apostichopus japonicus Alleviates Acute Alcoholic Liver Injury by Enhancing Antioxidant Response in Male C57BL/6J Mice
TL;DR: This study suggests that dietary supplementation with a sea cucumber-derived peptide is one of the potential candidates to alleviate acute alcoholic liver injury and the preventive effects of peptide supplementation may be related to autophagy.
