Paeoniflorin protects against ANIT-induced cholestasis by ameliorating oxidative stress in rats.
Yan-Ling Zhao,Guang-De Zhou,Jiabo Wang,Lei Jia,Ping Zhang,Ruisheng Li,Limei Shan,Bing Liu,Xueai Song,Shijing Liu,Xiao-He Xiao +10 more
TL;DR: Findings indicate that Paeoniflorin exerts a dose-dependent protective effect on ANIT-induced cholestatic liver injury in rats, and the mechanism of this activity is related to its attenuation of oxidative stress in liver tissue.

Copper Deficiency Induces Oxidative Stress in Liver of Mice by Blocking the Nrf2 Pathway.
TL;DR: The results indicate that Cu deficiency can cause hepatic damage in mice is associated with the activation of oxidative stress and inhibition of Nrf2 pathway.

Probiotic-fermented Qushi decoction alleviates reserpine induced spleen deficiency syndrome by regulating spleen function and gut microbiota dysbiosis.
TL;DR: This paper investigated the splenic protection of probiotic fermented Qushi decoction (FQD) in Spleen deficiency syndrome (SDS) rats by modulating gastrointestinal motility hormones and intestinal microbiota and found that FQD increased total polysaccharides, total protein, total flavonoids and the other active ingredients compared to QD, effectively improved splenic inflammation and apoptosis in SDS rats, and modulated gastrointestinal motile hormones to alleviate diarrhoea and other symptoms.

Saikosaponin-D Prevents Acute Renal Injury via Inhibition of NLRP3 Inflammasome By SIRT1
Lin Kang,Fan Yang,Xiu-zhi Zhang,Jing-Tai Zhao,Yang Liu,Huan-fen Zhao,Zhijuan Hu,Bing Liu,Chunnian He +8 more
TL;DR: Sikosaponin-d (SSD) reduced kidney injury and inflammation, induced SIRT1, and suppressed protein expression on in vivo mice model of acute kidney injury (AKI) and these findings confirm that SSD prevents AKI via inhibition of NLRP3 inflammasome by SIRT 1.

[Clinical analysis of two diagnosis methods for herb-induced liver injury].
Ting-Ting He,Man Gong,Yun-Feng Bai,Yun Zhu,Jia-Bo Wang,Ming Niu,Bing Liu,Yonggang Li,Xiao-He Xiao +8 more
TL;DR: Results showed that Guidelines for clinical diagnosis and treatment of liver injury related to Chinese herbal medicine in China(2016) was more suitable for the diagnosis of herb-induced liver injury.
