Relaying Selection with Network-coded Cooperative Protocols in Aeronautical Communications

The invention relates to an ICA-based decoding method for a multi-cell multi-user multi-antenna system. Under the condition that a receiver does not know channel state information, the ICA-based decoding method can realize decoding in the multi-cell multi-user multi-antenna system by utilizing a small amount of non-orthogonal pilot frequency sequences. The ICA-based decoding method can be used to improve the data transmission speed and reduce distortion caused by pilot frequency pollution.

The invention provides a decoding method based on physical network coding and a corresponding data processing method. The decoding method is the decoding method of a physical layer network code decoder in a multipath fading channel environment on a relay node in a wireless two-way relay network. The decoding method comprises the steps as follows: transmitting data to relay nodes simultaneously in a first time slot while two terminal nodes interact information; sampling the received data, and then using a belief-propagation algorithm to decode the data obtained by sampling to obtain new coding information, and broadcasting the coding information in a second time slot, and decoding the information of the opposite side according to the transmitted information after the terminal nodes receive the coding information with the terminal nodes. The decoding method could effectively reduce the error rate in the decoding process.

Network Coding recognized as an efficient solution on improving network throughput is a hot spot in the area of wireless network. However, interference affects quality of communication seriously, which is a harmful factor in wireless fading environment. One protocol named physical-layer network coding not only increase network throughput but also takes advantage of interference between signals. How to separate the mixed signal resulting from the broadcast nature of wireless channel is an area with little discussion. This paper firstly proposes a PNC decoding solution for mixed signal separation in Multi Access Relay Channel(MARC) model. Then we use our estimation result about the channel coefficients to give a discussion on the capacity theorem of MARC model using PNC. In conclusion, the simulation result tells that the proposed method ARD PNC performs well in PNC with higher bandwidth utility and lower error rate. At the same time, the capacity using PNC is also improved comparing to traditional direct transmission.

This paper proposes a new combinational technology which is feasible to apply physical-layer network coding (PNC) to wireless fading channel by employing the harmful interference strategically. The key step of PNC is that terminals embrace interference and recover original signals from the intervening signals. Generally, the signals from different sources are mutual independent. We exploit an enhanced Joint Diagonalization Separation named Altering Row Diagonalization (ARD) algorithm to maximize the cost function measuring independence, by which we can separate these independent signals by blind separation method without any priori information about channel in wireless fading environments. In conclusion, the proposed method APNC (ARD PNC) performs well in PNC with higher bandwidth utility and lower error rate.
