The antidepressant effect of ethanol extract of radix puerariae in mice exposed to cerebral ischemia reperfusion.
TL;DR: The data suggested that the disturbance of NE and DA systems in hippocampus and striatum played more important roles in the development of depressive-like behavior of CIR mice than 5-HT system did, and RP extract ameliorated the abnormal symptoms caused by CIR, which may throw new lights on the treatment of poststroke depression.

HPLC method for the determination and pharmacokinetic studies on puerarin in cerebral ischemia reperfusion rat plasma after intravenous administration of puerariae radix isoflavone.
TL;DR: The elimination rate of puerarin was significantly slower in the cerebral ischemia reperfusion rat than in the normal rat, judging by the pharmacokinetic parameters obtained.

Determination of puerarin in rat cortex by high-performance liquid chromatography after intravenous administration of Puerariae flavonoids.
TL;DR: The method was applied to determine the pharmacokinetic parameters and the time course of puerarin in rat cortex, following a single dosage of intravenous administration of flavonoids from Puerariae radix at 32 mg/kg ofpuerarin to male Wistar rats.

Cerebral Ischemia Reperfusion Exacerbates and Pueraria Flavonoids Attenuate Depressive Responses to Stress in Mice
TL;DR: Findings indicate that PE contributes to the amelioration of behavior response in PSD mice, which is closely related with the protective effects of catecholamine synthesize against CIR brain damage.
