Loss of ARNT in skeletal muscle limits muscle regeneration in aging.
Yori Endo,Kodi Baldino,Bin Li,Bin Li,Yuteng Zhang,Yuteng Zhang,Dharaniya Sakthivel,Michael R MacArthur,Michael R MacArthur,Adriana C. Panayi,Peter Kip,Daniel J. Spencer,Ravi Jasuja,Debalina Bagchi,Shalender Bhasin,Kristo Nuutila,Ronald L. Neppl,Amy J. Wagers,Amy J. Wagers,Indranil Sinha,Indranil Sinha +20 more
TL;DR: Administration of a systemic hypoxia pathway activator (ML228), which simulates the actions of ARNT, rescued skeletal muscle regeneration in both old and ARNT‐deleted mice, suggesting that the loss of AR NT in skeletal muscle is partially responsible for diminished myogenic potential in aging and activation of Hypoxia signaling holds promise for rescuing regenerative activity in old muscle.

The RNA binding protein hnRNP-U is required for physiological hypertrophy of skeletal muscle
Debalina Bagchi,Benjamin D. Mason,Kodilichi Baldino,Bin Li,Eun-Joo Lee,Yuteng Zhang,Linh Khanh Chu,Sherif el Raheb,Indranil Sinha,Ronald L. Neppl +9 more
TL;DR: It is shown that sustained activation of Akt1 in Hnrnpu deficient mice leads to premature muscle wasting, in part, through impaired autophagy while providing mechanistic insights into the development of anabolic resistance.
Ischemic Stroke Induces Skeletal Muscle Damage and Alters Transcriptome Profile in Rats
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors reported pathological features of skeletal muscle post-stroke and to provide a background for promising interventions, and further confirmed that autophagy is one of the main causative mechanisms of reduced muscle function after stroke.
A porous collagen-GAG scaffold promotes muscle regeneration following volumetric muscle loss injury
Adriana C. Panayi,Lucindi Smit,Nicole Hays,Kodi Udeh,Yori Endo,Bin Li,Dharaniya Sakthivel,Ali Tamayol,Ronald L. Neppl,Dennis P. Orgill,Kristo Nuutila,Indranil Sinha +11 more
TL;DR: A CGS was shown to enhance muscle hypertrophy in response to VML injury with a resultant improvement in functional performance, which suggests that implantation of a CGS could be a promising treatment for VML wounds.
Adult-Onset Myopathy with Constitutive Activation of Akt following the Loss of hnRNP-U.
Debalina Bagchi,Benjamin D. Mason,Kodilichi Baldino,Bin Li,Eun-Joo Lee,Yuteng Zhang,Linh Khanh Chu,Sherif el Raheb,Indranil Sinha,Ronald L. Neppl +9 more
TL;DR: Investigation of the role of the RNA-binding protein hnRNP-U on the expression and splicing of genes and the signaling processes regulating skeletal muscle hypertrophic growth links Hnrnpu with the balance between anabolic signaling, cellular and metabolic stress, and physiological growth.
