Association of Endometrial Cancer Risk With Postmenopausal Bleeding in Women: A Systematic Review and Meta-analysis.
Megan A. Clarke,Beverly Long,Arena Del Mar Morillo,Marc Arbyn,Jamie N. Bakkum-Gamez,Nicolas Wentzensen +5 more
TL;DR: Early detection strategies focused on women with postmenopausal bleeding have the potential to capture as many as 90% of endometrial cancers; however, most women with PMB will not be diagnosed with endometricrial cancer.
Ultrasound detection of endometrial cancer in women with postmenopausal bleeding: Systematic review and meta-analysis
TL;DR: Among women with PMB mean ET is substantially higher in women with EC compared to those without EC, and an ET cutoff of ≥5 mm shows an acceptable tradeoff between sensitivity and specificity for diagnosis of EC.

Beverly Long,Jenna Lilyquist,Amy L. Weaver,Chunling Hu,Rohan Gnanaolivu,Kun Y. Lee,Steven N. Hart,Eric C. Polley,Jamie N. Bakkum-Gamez,Fergus J. Couch,Sean C. Dowdy +10 more
TL;DR: BRCA1/2 and Lynch mutations were rare in this cohort of unselected patients with type I and II EC, including USC, but the presence of predisposition gene mutations in 4.2% of EC type I, 5.3% ofEC type II, and 6.7% of USC suggests that somatic mutation testing should be considered for all EC patients.

- 01 Jul 2018

Toni P. Kilts,Beverly Long,Amy E. Glasgow,Jamie N. Bakkum-Gamez,Elizabeth B. Habermann,William A. Cliby +5 more
TL;DR: The incidence of invasive vulvar EMPD has increased over time, and CSS is excellent for localized disease, but those with metastatic disease are in need of novel therapies, as well as site specific preventative health screens during recurrence surveillance.
