Kinetics of fatty acid ketonization in liquid phase with anatase and rutile TiO2 catalysts
TL;DR: In this article , two TiO2 catalysts (anatase and rutile) were evaluated for C-C coupling of C12-C18 fatty acids in inert dodecane solvent.
Assessment of the environmental sustainability of solvent-less fatty acid ketonization to bio-based ketones for wax emulsion applications
Bert Boekaerts,Margot Vandeputte,Kranti Navare,Joost Van Aelst,Karel Van Acker,Jan Cocquyt,Chris Van Caneyt,Peter Van Puyvelde,Bert F. Sels +8 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a solventless liquid phase ketonization process to achieve sustainable waxy products with appreciably lower CO2 footprints than the fossil paraffin waxes.

- 28 Aug 2018
TL;DR: In this article, a method for the hydrophobization of wood-based materials using an aqueous emulsion comprising an organic ketone composition was proposed, characterized by a penetration value of at least 40, measured in accordance with the ASTM standard method D1321 - 10 at 24 °C.
