Serum dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) and DHEA sulfate are negatively correlated with serum interleukin-6 (IL-6), and DHEA inhibits IL-6 secretion from mononuclear cells in man in vitro: possible link between endocrinosenescence and immunosenescence.
Rainer H. Straub,L. Konecna,S. Hrach,G. Rothe,Marina Kreutz,J Schölmerich,Werner Falk,Bernhard Lang +7 more
TL;DR: It is concluded that the increase in IL-6 production during the process of aging might be due to diminished DHEA and ASD secretion, which may be a significant cofactor for the manifestation of inflammatory and age-related diseases.
Novel quark smearing for hadrons with high momenta in lattice QCD
TL;DR: In this paper, a new quark smearing method was introduced to maintain small statistical errors and good overlaps of hadronic wave functions with the respective ground states, also at high spatial momenta.

Association of humoral markers of inflammation and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate or cortisol serum levels in patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease.
TL;DR: Association of humoral markers of inflammation and dehydroepiandrosterone sulfate or cortisol serum levels in patients with chronic inflammatory bowel disease is studied.

Pion distribution amplitude from Euclidean correlation functions
Gunnar S. Bali,Gunnar S. Bali,Vladimir M. Braun,B. Gläßle,Meinulf Göckeler,Michael Gruber,Fabian Hutzler,Piotr Korcyl,Piotr Korcyl,Bernhard Lang,Andreas Schäfer,Philipp Wein,Jian-Hui Zhang +12 more
TL;DR: In this paper, momentum smearing was used to calculate the pion distribution amplitude (DA) from suitably chosen Euclidean correlation functions at large momentum, which is complementary to the calculations of the lowest moments of the DA using the Wilson operator product expansion and avoids mixing with lower dimensional local operators.
