A three-component tandem reductive aldol reaction catalyzed by N-heterocyclic carbene-copper complexes.
TL;DR: An efficient catalytic system for the three-component coupling of electrophilic alkenes, aldehydes, and silane was optimized with a new family of copper N-heterocyclic carbene complexes that do not require activation and show high activity and some anti diastereoselectivity.

A new supramolecular assembly obtained from the combination of silver(I) cations with a thiophosphorylated cavitand
TL;DR: The new tetra-thiophosphonatocavitand 1 in its iiii configuration extracts quantitatively Ag+ ions from aqueous solutions; the tetranuclear complex [1(2).Ag4Pic4] was selectively formed and characterized in the solid state by X-ray diffraction which revealed the formation of a new dimeric assembly through Ag+ coordination.

Polyphosphorylated Triphenylenes: Synthesis, Crystal Structure, and Selective Catechol Recognition
Cécile Givelet,Bernard Tinant,Luc Van Meervelt,Thierry Buffeteau,Nathalie Marchand-Geneste,Brigitte Bibal +5 more
TL;DR: Molecular dynamics simulations and recognition experiments suggested that a stronger hydrogen bond assisted by a pi-interaction between the Discopus core and one catechol molecule could exist within the 1:2 complex.
Supramolecular Assemblies of Phosphorylated Cavitands
Jean-Pierre Dutasta,Brigitte Bibal,Jean-Paul Declercq,Béatrice Dubessy,Jean-Christophe Mulatier,Bernard Tinant,Anne-Gaëlle Valade +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis and binding properties of cavitands were investigated and the new compounds showed that these bowl-shaped molecules possess a well defined aromatic cavity surrounded by four phosphoryl groups (P=O or P=S).

Synthesis of New 3-(1-Ethylsulfanyl-2-perfluoroalkyl)-5-hydroxy-5-methyl (or 5-phenyl)-1,5-dihydro-pyrrol-2-ones Starting from γ-Keto Thioesters and Amines.
TL;DR: Bouillon et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed a fluorinated 1,5-Dihydro-pyrrol-2-ones (Fluorinated FD-Pyrrol) formulation, which is a mixture of fluorinated 1.5-dihydroxypyrrol and dihydro pyrrol.
