Cephalomedullary Nail Fixation of Intertrochanteric Femur Fractures: Are Two Proximal Screws Better Than One?
Rafael Serrano,James Blair,David T. Watson,Anthony Infante,Anjan R. Shah,Hassan R. Mir,Benjamin Maxson,Katheryne W. Downes,Roy W. Sanders +8 more
TL;DR: A cephalomedullary nail with 2 integrated proximal screws that can be compressed and then locked seems to maintain initial IT fracture reduction and subsequent position over time, with less varus collapse and less shortening than a single screw device.

Iatrogenic Nerve Palsy Occurs With Anterior and Posterior Approaches for Humeral Shaft Fixation.
Benjamin D. Streufert,India Eaford,Thomas R Sellers,Joseph T. Christensen,Benjamin Maxson,Anthony Infante,Anjan R. Shah,David T. Watson,Roy W. Sanders,Hassan R. Mir +9 more
TL;DR: Iatrogenic RNP is not uncommon with humeral fracture fixation, and occurs at similar rates in anterior and posterior approaches and with midshaft and distal fractures.

Effect of Nail Size, Insertion, and Δ Canal-Nail on the Development of a Nonunion After Intramedullary Nailing of Femoral Shaft Fractures.
Rafael Serrano,Hassan R. Mir,R. Allen Gorman,Jordan Karsch,Ryan Kim,Anjan R. Shah,Benjamin Maxson,Anthony Infante,D. W. Watson,Katheryne Downes,Roy W. Sanders +10 more
TL;DR: Similar healing rates occurred regardless of IMN diameter, Δ canal-nail diameter after reaming, or insertion site, which indicates that a closed section, cannulated, interlocked, titanium alloy IMN with a diameter of 10 mm can be considered the standard diameter for the treatment of acute femoral shaft fractures, regardless of entry point.

"Unstable" Pediatric Femoral Shaft Fractures Treated With Flexible Elastic Nails Have Few Complications.
Omar H. Atassi,Philip B Fontenot,Gennadiy Busel,Guadalupe De La Fuente,David Donohue,Benjamin Maxson,Anjan R. Shah,David T. Watson,Anthony Infante,Katheryne Downes,Roy W. Sanders,Hassan R. Mir +11 more
TL;DR: This study demonstrates that FEN can be safely used in the majority of pediatric femoral shaft fractures, including those previously described as " unstable", including "unstable" fractures.

The Use of a Novel Moldable Calcium Phosphate Putty (Montage) for Periarticular Fractures: Early Clinical Results
Omar H. Atassi,Gennadiy Busel,Guadalupe De La Fuente,David Donohue,Benjamin Maxson,Anjan R. Shah,David T. Watson,Anthony Infante,Katheryne Downes,Roy Sanders,Hassan R. Mir +10 more
TL;DR: Montage shows excellent efficacy in preventing articular subsidence when used as a metaphyseal void filler with fixation of periarticular fractures.
