TL;DR: The Masdar Institute's solar platform as mentioned in this paper is dedicated to research and development of concentrated solar power (CSP) and thermal energy storage systems, which includes state-of-the-art solar resource assessment apparatuses, a 100 kW beam down CSP plant that has been adapted to research activity, one independent 100 kW hot-oil loop, and new thermal EH storage systems.
